Joshua Dylan Rice broke out of Western State Hospital in Lakewood, Washington, at approximately 8 p.m. on March 31, 2026, and was not reported to Clark County until the afternoon of April 1, according to a notice from Clark County Jail Services. Rice has pending charges of first-degree robbery and theft of a motor vehicle in Clark County Superior Court. County officials warned the public that due to the violent nature of these charges, Rice should be considered dangerous. He also has a known criminal history in Multnomah County, Oregon.
