Vancouver Public Schools announced Dr. Rocky Torres-Morales will begin his role as superintendent on June 26, 2026, marking a leadership change for the district. The district's website states the date as his official first day, with plans to celebrate the new chapter. This follows the transition from the previous superintendent, though the announcement does not specify who left or the reasons for the change. Summer meal programs for students will continue through community partnerships, and the district is also preparing for the 2026 graduation ceremonies, with events scheduled for high school students at Columbia River High School, Fort Vancouver High School, and other campuses.
