I-405, I-5 closures scheduled for late August

Multiple highway closures begin Monday for maintenance and paving projects across Vancouver area. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced overnight lane closures on I-405 and I-5, as well as single-lane closures on US 2 and SR 96.

I-405 will have nightly closures from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday on the northbound Express Toll Lanes between mileposts 17.45 and 18.12. I-5 will see overnight closures on the northbound off-ramp to Southcenter Parkway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, and daily lane closures on the northbound left lane from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on August 15-16. US 2 west of Cashmere will have single-lane closures Mondays through Thursdays until late September.

The closures are for road maintenance and paving projects. WSDOT urges drivers to allow extra travel time and check for updates before traveling.
