Witnesses Sought For I-5 Drive-By Shooting

Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a drive-by shooting on I-5 that occurred on August 23, 2026. The incident happened around 4:50 p.m. when a black Ford Raptor driver was shot at by a Kia Spectra. A bullet pierced the Raptor's passenger door and lodged in the seat.

The suspect, described as a black male with a black female passenger, drove aggressively on SB I-5 and fired a single shot near S. 216th. Detectives are asking anyone with information to email Detective John Ford at John. [email protected].

The suspect continued driving aggressively and when the vehicles were in the area of SB I-5 near S. 216th the driver of the suspect vehicle fired one shot at the victim. The driver was described at a black male with a black female in the passenger seat. The suspect continued SB I-5 at a high rate. Detectives are seeking anyone that witnessed or has information on this shooting.
